Why Our Lab
After receiving his Doctorate in Chiropractic, Dr. Michael Boone, spent the next years, obtaining his MD degree, training In Boston at Harvard’s Cambridge HealthAlliance Hospitals and Massachusetts General Hospital and Oral Roberts University of Medicine, researching cancer and learning the latest medical bio lab research techniques and protocols. Dr. Boone’s research career expanded over 40 years, from his humble beginnings in the ’70s after leaving Brewer, Maine. His illustrious research career culminated with the sale of his Biotech Company to the Japanese’s Sony Healthcare.
In Dr. Boone’s forty-year career in research, he was well-published in multiple peer review journals throughout the Medical Establishment. Highlighted by his paper on “Endometrial sampling techniques in Female Cancer prevention.”
Areas of research of special interest included Biostatistics, microbiome, and Omics field. Dr. Boone concluded his long scientific medical research career with an exhaustive meta-analysis of metabolomics and proteomics in the clinical pharmacy of Multiple Sclerosis Therapy, in the determination of pathological stage regression with early intervention.
In the 80s, when the field of Functional Medicine was infantile and there was no transparency nor communication between the wholistic health world and traditional medicine, Dr. Boone, worked with various Foundations in their early days to bridge the huge gaps. Today a number of the Foundations are major contributors to medical research in the health world
internationally.
Throughout his career, Dr.Boone researched many areas of medicine, but none became as controversial as his deep delve into Chiropractic efficacy. Long overdue by the profession and uniquely qualified, Dr. Boone was outspoken but honest in his conclusions on Chiropractic efficacy after years of exhaustive studies. He drew the ire of those in the profession when looking at numerous areas of the profession. One area, improving longevity from Chiropractic adjustments monthly, concluded conclusively that long-term Chiropractic care “does not add years to one’s life, as posited by the average Chiropractor. Further conclusions, “cracking of the back”( release of nitrogenous gas) to elicited a noise was merely a ploy used by Chiropractors, that elicited no medicinal change to the various human nervous systems, sympathetic, enteric nor parasympathetic and was ineffective in the therapy of any internal human malady, as popularly espoused by the Chiropractic profession. Looking at epicritic and protopathic, dorsal and ventral pathways, pre and post-manipulation, unproven techniques used in the Chiropractic profession; such as Activator Gun clickers, as a soft technique we’re found to be of no medicinal value. T Dr. Boone, one of the few MDs with a Chiropractic background, approached Chiropractic research with the full intent of proving the need for Chiropractic and ended up unfortunately concluding that Chiropractic has menial value in Medical care.
Dr. Boone, further, looked at Chiropractic and horse care and concluded that the practice of using rubber mallets on horses in the field of Chiropractic care to be a worthless scheme.
Dr. Boone was an early pioneer in the field of magnetism in clinical application outside the use of radiology and MRI. Today noninvasive transcranial magnetism (TMS) is standard care FDA approved, for clinical use in non-responsive clinical depression and mood disorders.
